Itinerary
Your safari begins with a scenic drive from Kampala or Entebbe to the iconic Queen Elizabeth National Park, with a cultural lunch stop at Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara. Arrive and settle into Elephant Plains Lodge, perched on the edge of the park. If time allows, enjoy an evening game drive to kick off the adventure.

Start your day with an early morning game drive through the vast savannah, where lions, elephants, buffaloes, and more roam free. Return to the lodge for breakfast and a bit of relaxation. After lunch, head to the Kazinga Channel for a scenic boat cruise, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, and incredible birdlife up close.

After breakfast, travel through Uganda’s rolling hills to the mystical Bwindi Impenetrable Forest — home of the endangered mountain gorillas. Check into Mahogany Springs Lodge, nestled on the forest’s edge. Spend the afternoon relaxing and preparing for tomorrow’s unforgettable trek.

Rise early and head into the jungle for a guided gorilla trek — a profound and awe-inspiring experience. The trek can last 2 to 8 hours, but the reward is extraordinary: witnessing a gorilla family in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge to reflect on your encounter and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

After breakfast, journey onward to Lake Mburo National Park, stopping for lunch en route. On arrival, jump right into a boat cruise across the lake, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and bird species like the rare African finfoot. Wrap up the day with an evening game drive on your way to Kigambira Safari Lodge.
Dinner & overnight at Kigambira Safari Lodge
Start your day with a guided nature walk through the park — no vehicle, just you and the wildlife. Walk among giraffes, elands, zebras, and more. After lunch and a bit of relaxation, head back out for an evening game drive, catching the golden hour in this serene park.

After breakfast morning, then transfer for the morning game drive returning at around 10:00am, freshen up and check out of the lodge. Then it’s time to head back to Kampala or Entebbe, carrying unforgettable memories of Uganda’s spectacular landscapes and wildlife – lunch enroute.
